A note from Co-Founding Author Scottie Jeanette Madden
Mylove, Marcy M. Madden left her body Oct. 6th, 2018. Our journey through cancer was 9 years of astounding courage, heartache, inspiration, Light, Laughter & Love. In the last days of her life, Marcy's hospice nurse told me "don't put off any conversations..." So, we had a two-day long slumber party gigging and cuddling and having all of the hardest conversations any lovers could possibly imagine (and hope they never will have to) - it was 2 of the greatest days of our marriage. (Followed by the day the world ended.) But during those two days, at some point, Marcy said to me, "And keep Zuzubean going..."
I shrugged this off casually, "Of course I'll keep Zuzubean going, it's how we sell our books, and handle our speaking... " and then it dawned on me the gravity of what she said, hit me like a bolt of lightning "Wait a minute, did you just last-request me?"
She smiled that all-knowing , cat-ate-the-mouse grin, and winked.
So... in that spirit, in her honor, and in her name - Zuzubean Press will continue the mission to use public appearances, broadcast, print and social media to create change - we will transform discord, ignorance and fear into Light, Laughter & Love. We ain't going anywhere - we're digging in.

On December 9th 2018, 150 people gathered to celebrate Marcy, Mylove Madden's Life. Her favorite foods were served, and yes, of course there were both carrot cake and chai among other things ) her favorite songs were heard. and many of her favorite people came - but certainly not all of her favorite people were able to make it. So. below are some of the remembrances and stories of Mylove.
